Clark is back on campus for the day. So, too, are some of her former teammates. Clark’s old backcourt running mate, Kate Martin, is on hand for the game. Many weren’t sure if Martin, who plays in the WNBA and the Unrivaled three-on-three league, would be able to make it due to her schedule.

But Martin made it back in time for the game on Sunday afternoon. She was rocking a casual outfit, showcasing her love for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

 

Martin rocked an all-black tracksuit complete with a gray Iowa Hawkeyes T-shirt as she made her way into the arena on Sunday afternoon.

 

Fans were pumped to see her.

 

Iowa’s first-year coach Jan Jensen is pumped to have her back, as she compared Clark to NBA legend Michael Jordan.

 

“It was the ride of a lifetime,” Jensen said. “We worked like crazy to recruit her, and we got to be the last one standing. I will forever believe that it was the perfect match — the perfect staff and kid in a state that loves its female sports.

 

 

 

“If you know Michael Jordan, you know he went to Carolina. He’s still Carolina blue, right? Forever. I feel really fortunate that Caitlin will forever be black and gold. She’ll always be part of our story here.”
